I have been working as a speech therapist for 20 years. During this time, I have explored many areas of the field and met many interesting children.
I have worked in various institutions (from special education schools to psychological and pedagogical assistance centers). Everywhere, I gained valuable experience that has been useful in my further work.
The areas of speech therapy that I enjoy the most include:
- Diagnostics and consultations (if you notice or hear that something is wrong with your child’s speech, or even if you don’t but are a responsible parent and want to ensure everything is fine). I check all aspects of speech, and it’s not just about pronunciation. It’s like solving an intriguing puzzle or mystery. It’s important not only to identify what is wrong but also to understand why and then create a plan to help. I also always communicate with parents during diagnostics, as I believe it’s essential to involve them in the process.
- Speech therapy massage (I am skilled in the technique and include elements in my sessions, but if you have a neurologist’s recommendation, I can also provide a full course of speech therapy massage).
- Correction of dysgraphia and dyslexia (if your child has completed the first grade but still struggles with reading and writing or has difficulties with these skills).
- And, of course, classic speech therapy sessions with preschoolers. I love working with them because there’s always room for creativity, making the sessions fun, and helping children enjoy the process of speech correction.
