Only IVF?
No, donor sperm can also be used for intrauterine insemination. Moreover, to carry out this manipulation, a diagnosis of “infertility” is not required, so women who do not have a partner, but dream of a child, can use it.
How do we protect our patients?
Complete anonymity when using donor material for both donors and patients. Preserving reproductive privacy is one of our priorities.
We strictly monitor the health status of our donors. All donor sperm undergoes mandatory quarantine in order to maximally protect patients from infections, therefore it is cryopreserved for a period of 6 months. After the quarantine period, the donor is retested for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV infection and syphilis, and only if the sperm is again negative can be used.
Which method – IVF or insemination with donor sperm – is right for you, the doctor decides individually. This depends on many factors: diagnosis, age, AMH level, tubal patency, etc.
